Sandy Ho

Office Manager/Project Accountant

After joining TRA in 2002, Sandy Ho is currently an associate at TRA undertaking a variety of tasks at TRA including project administration, invoicing, graphics creation, documentation production, administrative support for proposal efforts and administrative/IT support.

Ms. Ho has prepared graphics for various projects such as HCPs, EIR/EISs, and Biological Assessments. She is proficient with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, and Adobe Suite software programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. She is experienced in using ArcGIS for mapping and data analysis.

Sandy formats and produces most of TRA’s publications including large volume documents in both hard copy and digital formats. She has participated in the preparation of several HCPs and EIRs. Working with a team of TRA staff, Ms. Ho also assists with the preparation of proposals and statement of qualifications. She sets up the proposal template, designs the proposal cover, creates the organizational chart and project schedule, and checks budget tables for accuracy as needed.

On a monthly basis, Ms. Ho prepares invoices, oversees all aspects of the billing processes, verifies accuracy of billing data, and revises any errors. She works closely with project managers to provide the most up-to-date budget status and notifies managers of imbalances and discrepancies which may result in project budget overrun problems.

She performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties and provides preliminary system administration support to both the in-office staff and remote staff. Ms. Ho also functions as the primary contact for TRA’s IT support requests and coordinates with Cogent Solutions when needed. Her work has focused on managing software purchases/renewal, maintaining inventory of IT assets specifications, and updating the TRA Website.


Assisted in the preparation and production of the Stanford University HCP EIS. Worked closely with the Director of Biological Analysis to meet various project deliverable deadlines and coordinated with local print shop to ensure timely production of documents.

GIS mapping for the California Water Tank and Pump Station project IS/MND in Redwood City. Map products included regional location, site vicinity, and aerial photograph of site vicinity maps.

Formatted and produced the Eastern Kern County Acquisition Project EIR and Over Snow Vehicle Program EIR for California State Parks and Edgewood Canyon Subdivision Supplemental EIR for San Mateo County.

Prepared a series of GIS-based maps for the San Bruno Mountain Habitat Conservation Plan Activities Report. This project involved digitizing invasive species control areas, and Callippe Silverspot and Mission Blue butterfly observations on San Bruno Mountain.

Produced graphics and GIS maps for the following CEQA documents: Big Wave Wellness Center and Office Park Project EIR Addendum, Carlmont High School Usher Field Lights Project IS/MND, San Mateo County Replacement Jail Project IS/MND, and Mayfair Campus Project IS/MND.

Experienced in assisting staff to prepare marketing proposals/statement of qualifications for potential clients, provided quality control, and responsible for the final production of proposals.
