Phillip Gleason recently joined MIG in 2016 as an environmental analyst after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of California, Davis. The Atmospheric Science program included course work in Air Pollution, Biometeorology and Weather Analysis. In taking courses such as this, he learned the sources, sinks and transport of air pollutants.
Mr. Gleason has experience in interpreting various regulations including the Clean Water Act (CWA); Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA); Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); and Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). He also has several years of experience in producing reports based on analysis of model data.
Phillip has used meteorological models in the past for the purposes of weather forecasting. Using his knowledge of atmospheric equations and patterns extrapolated from raw model data he has created short-term and long-term forecasts for newspapers, radio stations, and television. On top of being a user of models, has also written basic spectral and grid point models using Excel.
